President Barack Obama celebrated his own birthday by leading the White House press corps in singing Happy Birthday to veteran reporter Helen Thomas. Obama carried some cupcakes into the room where reporters were gathered. Here is the video: 
 

Wow! Check out this video that Pete from Nowra sent us (thanks Pete!)... this was 1988 (we think) and we were part of a big ol' sporting anthem called You're Not Alone, stirring a bit of Aussie pride for Australia's Olympians in Seoul. Some of the faces (and the fashions!) in this video bring back so many memories... see how many you remember.  Oh and that's us down the front, dancing... if you can call it that!

We were speaking about this on today's show- Steven Tyler from Aerosmith fell off the stage at one of his gigs. We've got word that he's recovering in hospital with no serious damage done.

Today on the show we checked in with an inspirational man, Mark Goozee. Sadly Mark's 9 year old daughter passed away from cancer so he has set about running, riding and kayaking around Australia to raise money for childhood cancer.
