Parramatta Park Movie Marathon

Today on the show we caught up with our mate Michael Caton. Michael will be hosting the Parramatta Park Movie Marathon on the 25th on January. This will be a night of entertainment including great cinema blockbusters, in the serene setting of Parramatta Park.

The movies to be screened include Happy Feet, the hit musical Mamma Mia!, Baz Luhrmann’s epic film Australia and the classic Aussie comedy The Castle. There will also be a special performance by community dance group Circus Solarus.

DATE: The eve of Australia Day, Monday, January 25.
TIME: 3pm – 1.00am
LOCATION: Parramatta Park, Pitt St, Parramatta

Jono's new hair...

Jono returned from holidays today with a brand new hair style. He claims the new blonde look is simply the result of chlorine from his pool, but we think he secretly took a trip to Joh Bailey. Huey Lewis to tour Australia!

It has just been announced today that Huey Lewis & the News will tour Australia for the first time in over 20 years, when they bring their ‘Still Working for a Living’ tour to Australia in March 2010.

One of the biggest bands in rock pop history, Huey Lewis & the News boast over 20 million album sales, two Grammy awards and an Academy Award nomination.

Since 1979, the band have consistently toured the world to prove the eighties never really died with hits such as “Power of Love”, “I Want a New Drug” and “Hip to Be Square” continually on the set list.

Special guests Richard Clapton and 1927 will join the tour on March 20 for selected shows.

Boz Scaggs, Michael McDonald and Mick Fleetwood to tour Australia!

Five-time Grammy Award winner Michael McDonald joins legendary singer songwriter Boz Scaggs to perform all of their greatest hits, along with songs from their latest albums, Soul Speak and Speak Low.

Joining them for selected shows will be the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, who will be performing a mix of their own original material and Fleetwood Mac songs.

MARK SEYMOUR TO PLAY AT ST KILDA FESTIVAL

The 30th St Kilda Festival will sizzle with a lineup of stand-out acts and events including You Am I, Mark Seymour, The Bamboos feat Kylie Auldist, Katie Noonan & The Captains, St Kilda Laughs, Poetry Idol, St Kilda Busking Festival and the Pride March Victoria.

The St Kilda Festival is the largest free street festival in Australia and attracts around 300,000 people on the main Festival Day (Sunday 14 February).

Mark Seymour will be playing the main beach stage at the St Kilda Festival on Sunday 14 February 3.45pm - 4.30pm.
