Magda Szubanski's weight loss challenge!

Friend of the show Magda Szubanski phoned us up the other day to rope us into one of her schemes!  She's signed herself up (alongside Dicko) to support Australia’s Greatest Weight Loss Challenge. The Challenge runs until the 30th of April and is basically a push to get more Aussies on the way to healthy, sustainable weight loss. It’s a great opportunity for all Australians who’d like to lose weight to finally commit themselves to losing a few kilos and have some fun along the way.
 
As part of the Challenge you can join Magda for a walk:

Jono's Birthday Cake Frenzy...

What started out as a standard birthday cake surprise quickly turned into an eating frenzy for Jono on Monday.. (cue the Today Tonight voiceover) These are the pics he never wanted you to see!!
 
This first pic seems normal right? A cake and an apple for Jono (he's trying to shed some KGs):
 

 
Now picture 2 tells a different story- Jono- in an eating frenzy sneaks some sponge cake (his face tells it best):
 

 
But what began as an innocent slither of cake quickly lures Jono into a bad bad place.. he resorts to digging around the bin for fellow workers cake remains:
 

 
Oh Jono, what on earth will we do with you? I'm simply too selfish to stop bringing in cakes to the office...

Pants On Monday Update

Today Jono was again put to the test by Shannan Ponton and Michelle Bridges from The Biggest Loser. Shan and Michelle are on board pushing Jono in the gym to help him fit back into his 'skinny jeans' from the 90s.. Sure, the jeans are ugly and belong in Chers wardrobe not Johnnys, but it's the principle of the thing.

The Bluesfest Countdown is on!!

It's not long now until our favourite music festival- Bluesfest - kicks off in Byron Bay!!
 
The fest goes from the 1st until the 5th of April and is jam packed with our favourite musos. Roger Hodgson, Crowded House, John Mayall, Jools Holland, 10CC and Colin Hay are just some of the HUGE names to join the massive lineup. We like to think of it as a modern day Woodstock- there's just so many great acts in one place.

Supernova show dates..

Supanova is upon us again and to celebrate we’re going to catch up with James Marsters from Buffy, Smallville, Star Wars and Spiderman. Every year, Supanova brings an array of pop-culture stars to Australia to meet fans, give behind-the-scenes talks, pose for photos and sign autographs at its family events held at the showgrounds in Brisbane and Melbourne.

2010 Supanova Pop Culture Expo:

Brisbane: Friday April 9 to Sunday April 11, 2010 at RNA Showgrounds.
 
Melbourne: Preview night on Friday April 16, expo weekend of April 17 & 18 at Melbourne Showgrounds.
